Updates 2007

February

+
Just one update this time around, but an important one for me. For years I have responded to individual queries about Scottish flute music. Frequently these have been from people who have assumed that the flute is as popular in Scotland as it is in Ireland. Trying to answer the question has sent me on my own personal odyssey and saw me change my opinion several times.

This continues to come up time and again on message boards and the answers are rarely conclusive, for the simple reason that it isn't straightforward. No, it isn't as popular, but it does exist and is showing promise.

At long last though, I have added my ideas about it to the site. Some people may find it controversial, but I don't feel that I am alone in my views. There is some scope for adding further information at a later date and hopefully it won't take me the best part of ten years to add them.

Another quick update, to fix a couple of navigation issues after the last update.
